Dr. Herschman received his BA from Yeshiva University and his M.D. from Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University.

He completed his internship and residency in the Department of Neurosurgery at Rutgers University; and his fellowship in Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery at Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel.
