Aneurysm Clipping

What it is:

A surgical procedure where a clip is placed at the base of a brain aneurysm to prevent rupture.

Symptoms:

Severe headache, vision problems, neurological deficits, or rupture leading to subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Treatment:

Open craniotomy followed by placement of a titanium clip to block blood flow into the aneurysm.
